  I've owned a comic shop, worked in one, and managed another. Plus I've seen a lot of comic shops all over the world. I really like this one. Shops don't spring out fully formed but this one has developed at a very, very quick rate into a neat place. Harrison is building something that's already very good and is going to be very special. There are already a lot of neat concepts that he's employing in the shop that I can see where it's going. When you open a comic shop you have an idea that it's going to be a certain way and then the realities of your community change your vision. I think the intent was for this to have been more game heavy shop from day one but the realities of mckinney steered it towards comics initially. The shop is only 2 years old and it's already a very viable, quality shop with a great selection of graphic novels, comics, and figurines. And it sounds like it's going to be even better for gamers in the next few years. To my way of thinking, this is a family friendly shop McKinney can be proud of. I read one reviewer who complained bitterly that this doesn't compare to Keith's flagships store down on Mockingbird... where Keith, the owner of the chain, works..... which has been open for over 20 years... come on dude.... That is just asinine. This is a really good shop and in a year or two when the gaming part of it comes in fully I don't think you're going to be making those kinds of statements.
